Many old books only exist as previously printed copies and film - simply no longer usable for book production. This is where our service of ‘New Books for Old’ can bring an old book back to life - be it reproducing an old book to PDF or possibly re-creating long lost files ready for a total redesign.

For our Re-creation service we will scan the printed copy using our unique scanning system which guarantees that the newly produced scans will not suffer with any moiré - the usual issue of trying to reproduce any previously printed book. Further work then takes place to add bleed, remove blemishes and create an InDesign/QuarkXpress document complete with editable typeset text ready for full co-edition publishing (if required). A print ready pdf is then created and a screened proof produced to confirm the complete lack of moiré. You can then be fully confident that the new book will be every bit as good as the original.
